About Kala King Chocolate
My passion for chocolate first began when we lived in Venezuela. One weekend, I visited a local cocoa plantation with a few friends and we were privileged to watch the entire process of seed to bean – it was a truly amazing experience and I had to find out more!
South America is one of the best producers of selected cocoa beans and it was the perfect place to start my own journey into the world of chocolate. I started my chocolatier and patisserie training with Callebaut, home of the finest Belgian chocolate, and Cocoa Barry shortly after our trip to the cocoa plantation and I’ve never looked back.
Over the last few years, I’ve completed specific training to create chocolate centrepieces with Martin Chiffers, international pastry consultant and Ruth Hinks, UK World Chocolate Master.
After continually ‘practising’ my skills on friends & family – my harshest critics! – I wanted to share my enthusiasm for all things chocolate with even more people. The only way to do that was to start my own business, so Kala King Chocolate became a reality.
Using only the very finest ingredients, we create delicious, bespoke chocolate treats, desserts and patisserie. Everything we do is handmade – with lots of love – to ensure it not only looks but tastes exquisite. And we know exactly what goes into each product, that’s really important to me.
As well as creating artisan chocolates, we can make individual desserts for special occasions including weddings, birthdays and corporate events. In fact, I love nothing more than taking clients’ ideas, no matter how extravagant, and bringing them to life. We also run regular workshops designed to introduce chocolate lovers to the fine art of chocolate making.
